Salma Maryam Islam

Salma joined the firm in March 2026 as a Paralegal, supporting the Residential Conveyancing Department.

She holds an LLB in Law from the University of Birmingham and is currently working towards qualifying as a solicitor through the SQE route. She is driven by a clear ambition to establish herself within the legal profession and is deeply committed to achieving a high level of both academic and professional development.

Alongside her legal career, she continues to run her own photography business, specialising in wedding photography. Combined with her previous experience in retail, she has strengthened her professionalism and client awareness.

She also holds a strong interest in initiatives that promote access to education and opportunity for women and girls in developing countries. She recognises the transformative role of education in fostering independence and is keen to contribute, over time, to efforts that support greater empowerment and long-term social mobility. She is particularly motivated to extend access to the opportunities and advantages she has been fortunate to experience, made possible by the sacrifices of those before her.

Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, exploring her interest in interior design and photography. She also values time spent with her cat.
