About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Wills & Probate Solicitor or Legal Executive with 2–5 years’ PQE to join our Private Client team.

You will manage a varied caseload covering wills, probate and estate administration, trusts, powers of attorney and inheritance tax planning. You will be confident handling matters independently, including high-value and more complex estates, while providing clear, practical advice and a high level of client care.

This role would suit someone looking to develop their Private Client career within a friendly and professional environment, with the opportunity to manage their own caseload and build long-term relationships with clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing a broad caseload of Private Client matters, including wills, probate and estate administration
• Advising on estate planning, inheritance tax mitigation and trusts
• Preparing wills, lasting powers of attorney, deeds of variation, gifts and family arrangements
• Obtaining grants of probate and dealing with the administration of estates
• Preparing estate accounts and supporting legal and financial documentation
• Advising on the creation and administration of trusts and Deputyship Orders
• Corresponding with the Probate Registry, Land Registry, Office of the Public Guardian, solicitors and other third parties
• Conducting legal research where required to ensure advice and procedures remain accurate and up to date
• Managing your own caseload independently and efficiently
• Dealing confidently and effectively with new enquiries, including more complex matters
• Providing excellent client service and building strong professional relationships

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 2–5 years’ PQE in Wills, Probate and Estate Administration
• Experience handling a broad range of Private Client matters
• Confidence managing high-value and complex estates
• Strong technical knowledge of wills, probate, trusts, estate planning and powers of attorney
• Excellent communication, drafting and client care skills
• Self-motivated and able to manage matters independently and efficiently
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• A professional, approachable and empathetic manner when dealing with clients
• A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to the wider team
