Family beginnings
Wallace Robinson & Morgan has proudly stood as a pillar of trust and service since 1855, when T.J. Robinson first qualified as a Solicitor and laid the foundation for what would become a true family legacy.
Through generations, the Robinson family guided the firm with dedication—welcoming T.J.’s son, James Wallace Robinson and grandson Thomas Wallace Robinson into the partnership. Then followed T.J.’s great-grandson, Sydney Robinson. That spirit of continuity and loyalty remains at the heart of everything we do.
As the firm grew, it embraced new members who shared the same values. In the early 20th century, Charles Henry Morgan joined T.W Robinson in the partnership, marking the beginning of a long-standing tradition of teamwork and collaboration.
New Partners
The 1960s welcomed trusted names like Denys Fordham, Michael Roy Worster, Stanley Shortt, and Eric Woodhead, whose partnership shaped WRM into a reliable legal presence in the community.

By the 1980s, future leaders began to emerge. Paul Hughes joined in 1984, later becoming director alongside Tim Langford—who first walked through our doors as a work experience student in 1985 and now leads our Residential Conveyancing team.
Milestones, Memories, and Lasting Legacies
Together, Paul and Tim steered WRM through major milestones, including the opening of our Dorridge branch, the incorporation as a limited company and memorable moments of staff unity, like our 2010 trip to Oxford, the 160th anniversary celebration and Hazel’s retirement celebration at Blenheim Palace in 2015.

We’ve also had the honour of working with loyal colleagues who dedicated decades to our firm and clients. From Maureen Thompson and Hazel Jones to Douglas Freston and Linda O’Connor, each departure marked not just a farewell, but a celebration of enduring service and friendship
More recently...
In 2023, we experienced a profound loss with the sudden passing of Paul Hughes. His leadership, loyalty, and warmth left an indelible mark on WRM. His daughter, Anna Hobbs, now continues his legacy, joining Tim Langford in guiding the firm forward with the team of Directors.
Our Future, Our Values
As we look to the future, we remain rooted in our values: a family-driven ethos, unwavering commitment to our clients, many of whom have grown with us, and a team spirit that welcomes the next generation. Wallace Robinson & Morgan isn’t just a firm—it’s a community built on trust, tradition, and care. 2025 marks our 170th year and we will be celebrating continued success, resilience and opportunity with our wonderful staff who make Wallace Robinson & Morgan what it is today.
