Kateryna began her legal career as an investigator at the Prosecutor’s Office in Kharkiv, Ukraine, where she handled criminal cases and supervised police activities. She then spent 20 years at UPEC, a leading Ukrainian engineering holding, rising to Legal Director and Board Member. She oversaw legal processes across multiple industrial sites, managed corporate governance, employment law, litigation, and mergers, and built effective legal teams.
As Legal Director, she streamlined legal operations, provided high-level legal support, and advised the Board on strategic decisions and compliance. She played a key role in major legal matters, including the merger of Factorial Bank (Ukraine) with SEB Enskilda (Sweden) and an anti-dumping investigation on unfair imports into Ukraine. Her leadership fostered a strong legal culture across the organisation.
In 2022, following the outbreak of war, Kateryna relocated to the UK to transition into English law. She joined Wallace Robinson & Morgan in September 2022, gaining experience in property, commercial, corporate, and probate law while retraining to qualify as a solicitor. Over the past two years, she has focused on property law, particularly conveyancing, deepening her expertise in this area.
As a detail-oriented paralegal, Kateryna assists the Senior Solicitor with conveyancing and property law matters. She drafts legal documents, conducts property searches, prepares reports, handles Land Registry applications, and performs legal research. She is proficient in case management software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Known for her teamwork, time management, and ability to meet deadlines, she contributes effectively to the firm.
Kateryna is currently balancing her work with studying for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) and is committed to completing her qualification as soon as possible.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, exploring the UK, and supporting Ukraine through social media.
