On Monday 6 June, Wallace Robinson & Morgan joined other local law firms and legal advice centres to take part in the 10km Birmingham Legal Walk for the second year in a row.
The purpose of the walk was to raise money for local legal advice services as the reduced availability of legal aid and government funding for advice centres has led to an increase in the number of people being unable to afford legal advice. Legal advice centres provide advice about many issues including housing and homelessness, domestic violence, and support available for older people and those on low incomes.
Our walkers were Ciara Cunningham (Trainee Solicitor), Daniel Zakis (Head of Dispute Resolution and Employment), Gary Sawyer (Solicitor), Kirsten Wagner (Solicitor), Kirsty Roberts (Solicitor), and Natalie Hogg (former employee). Thank you to everyone who donated or took part in the walk. Our fundraising page is still open for donations so please click here if you would like to donate.
